P3D Artist's talk with Stereo Slide Show (Toronto)

On April 7 at 8 pm, Wendy Whaley and I will give a talk and slide show as
part of
the show Space Probe (which I described here a while ago) at Inter/Access
, 401 Richmond, Toronto. You can find out more about the show at

Our piece involves a kinetic sculpture which creates light paintings when
photographed, and a number of stereo slides of same. (If you've never seen
what the $3 viewers from Reel 3d look like covered in (simulated)
sheepskin this may be your only chance!) The other part of the
installation has an enclosure with a pleasing organic form which people
can enter, and have a computer controlled laser play over their bodies.
This is captured by a video camera with a Miida beamsplitter, and viewable
on a video monitor fitted with a mirror beamsplitter.

Wendy and I are also planning a sort of informal stereo
get-together/show-and-tell kind of group, and this would be a good chance
to talk to us about it, if you are in or around the Toronto area. More on
this later..
