The "1.4" came from a recent thread that referenced someone who 
suggested that using longer F.L. lenses would "compensate" for
projection.  Typical seating for watching projected 3D has most
people behind the ortho seat (people in front row or two 
from what I've seen).  Using the longer f.l. on the camera would
move the ortho seat back more in line where people actually sit.

I was suggesting that perhaps Sawyer's design took this into account
and is why the lenses are 25mm.  Or at least one justification for
it anyway.

Just a thought.  The bulb that lit up in my brain when I realised this
just made things all fall into line "too" neatly. 

Of course it could be that my brain is just mangled rather than lit up. :-)
