P3D Confirmation by Demonstration - Part ???

I put on a stereographic demonstration for the Columbus Ga Audubon
Society yesterday afternoon.  It was attended by 30 people, none of which
had ever seen stereo, except for a couple who remembered stereo cards.

I gave the history of stereography, then went thru the different formats
including  stereo cards, standard "Realist size" stereo slides, 2x2x2
stereo slides, Viewmaster, 11x14 inch prints with an Omniscope viewer,  
DIY  Pulfrich 
glasses and their use in TV viewing, anaglyphs in magazines and books,
and side by side stereo images in magazines and books using a lorgnette
viewer.

Then I briefed the group on stereo projection and gave them a couple of
viewing tips.  I also warned them that some folks simply can't see stereo
and if they found they could not get one image while watching the
projected show, that they should cover up one  eye and enjoy the scenes
anyway.  Additionally I told them that the only "birds" in my slide show
are helicopter and airplanes.

I projected 120 stereo slides and they all seemed to enjoy the
presentation.  I think I got more response out of them when I showed
slides of Columbus scenes that they recognized.  I showed some made from
the top of the Columbus Government Center and no one in the crowd had
ever been on that roof, so these were especially welcomed.
