P3D To put the record straight...

I would like to make a clarification... There is a widespread 
(mis-)understanding in photo-3d that I am a big proponent and seller 
of Realist-format cameras.  Not many know that I make wide use of SLR 
cameras... I have two twin SLR rigs (Minolta X-700 and Konica FT-1) 
and I make good use of single SLRs for tabletops, macro stereo 
pictures and hyperstereos.  I would say that the majority of my slides 
submitted in PSA exhibitions are taken with SLR cameras, not a 
Realist.

I do use Realist cameras and find them a convenient way to record my 
life, family, vacations, etc. in 3d.  But, I am also a big proponent 
of good stereo photography, no matter what your tools are.  Whatever 
does the job of delivering good stereo images, is OK with me.

I promote stereo cameras from the 50s because (based on my experience 
and that of others I have seen) they are a good way to get started in 
stereo (maybe not the best - but inexpensive and relatively simple)  I 
sell stereo cameras & equipment for the good of stereo and to pay part 
of my own stereo expenses, not my grocery bills :-).  I list all my 
equipment for sale in sell-3d.
