P3D 2x2 vs Realist format

Boris:

How about rewriting the below comparisons for an RBT "B" format stereo
camera? With this camera you can go either way. "B" format is full
frame 8 perf. (I am interested in this because I have an X-4 on
order).

1)	Slide film mounted in RBT 33mm "full frame" mounts by me. Easy to
view in my Kodaslide II with some loss at the ends. Use a Radex or
Franca to see all the slide. Adds $.60 per pair in cost. Can project
using a TDC 116.

2)	Slide film mounted in 2x2 mounts by processor. View with Franca or
twin Pinsharps. Must keep pairs together and identified as to left and
right. Can project using twin Ektagraphics with polarizing filters.

3)	Print film with 4x6 prints. Mount in an album and view with VueMagic
over/under viewer. You can get fast service using your local
processor.

4)	Same as 3) except request "do not cut negs". Send filmstrip to Dale
Labs and get slide strip uncut. Then mount as in 1). Note that some
slides may be over/under exposed because the strip is printed as if it
were a movie film.

For the benefit of two recent newcomers to P3D, I wish to repost my

comparison of shooting with traditional "Realist format" stereo cameras

versus twin rigs. I repost also because I've made a few minor changes -
a

reflection of my ongoing education.
