P3D Re: Wollensak Lens Boards FS on S3D

Since discussions are discouraged on S3D, I have moved this 
here.  "hear2see2@xxxxxxx" posted some Wollensak lens 
boards for sale on S3D with the suggestion that they could 
be used to upgrade a Revere from f3.5 lenses to f2.7 lenses.   
I would like to caution that this is not as easy as it 
sounds.  The distance from the lens board mount to the 
film plane is less in the Wollensak than in the Revere.  
The body or the film guide will need to be machined to 
reduce this distance.  This difference is well beyond 
the range of the adjustment screws.  Making this change 
is not practical without the use of a milling machine.  
The camera will then need to be re-collimated.

I have gone through this on mine, but I still haven't 
put it back together and tested it.  It is a lot of work 
for an extra half an f-stop, considering I rarely shoot 
at anything wider than f5.6 for reasons of depth of field.
