I wrote a technical summary of various PC-3D systems last year - it
is available from: http://info.curtin.edu.au/~iwoodsa/3D-PC
and it is also in the archives of photo-3d.
In summary, all systems have their pros and cons.
simplicity vs. complexity of the software,
price (and simplicity or complexity) of the hardware,
resolution and flickerlessness :-) of the displayed stereoscopic image.
In further summary, page-flipping in a non-interlaced high-resolution/high
frequency mode will offer the best stereo but for that you will need
a monitor with good specifications and a good graphics card - I believe
there are several on the market now. The first card to support hardware
page-flipping was the Canopus Total-3d card (of which I have seen some
new models of which I am not sure whether they still offer stereoscopic
support) but there are now others.
It's really up to you what your needs and budget are.
Cheers,
Andrew.
