P3D VM Personal Repair

I eagerly awaited the arrival of Stereo World, hoping for
the article describing how to repair "shutter bounce" in the
ViewMaster Personal camera, which had been promised either
here or in an earlier copy of Stereo World. Alas, no such
article, so I guess my VM chips are destined to have a dark
side. Unless some kind soul out there could provide a brief
description of how to do it, or maybe even do the work for a
fee (give a quote for 3 cameras).
