I have a 3.5 year old relative who recently had a chance to look at some
prints in a Holmes stereoscope. She enjoyed looking at the pictures,
but in particular appeared to regard them as something remarkable, which
could be an indication that she perceived stereo. I didn't ask, because I
felt it would be pointless to do so without more carefully controlled
experimental conditions, and in any event the main consideration was that
she enjoyed them. :-)

I think I was somewhere around 5-7 when I first saw ViewMaster slides, and
I believe I saw them in stereo.
