The original description is shown below with my comments. The problems
seem superficial and fixable, and the price was low. So I'm thinking of
keeping it anyway. I won't hesitate to take it apart if I keep it. Any
thoughts?

The shutter is frozen. I can eventually jiggle it, but this takes 30
seconds of fiddling.

The body is badly worn and scratched, a great deal more than "normal."
There are several places where the camera is corroded or rusted. (It
appears to have been kept in a junk box with tools or something.)

This is true.

Both lenses have dust in them. The right lens has seven or eight large
chips caught between the lenses. This will certainly affect the focus.

A lens cover was included, but no strap.----

I would send it back in a heart beat! IMO it wasn't that good a price
for what they sent you. You would probably have done better with Dr. T
when he goes on one of his selling frenzies or with someone else on
S3D. Would you mind giving the name or e-mail of the seller? I buy
from e-bay and would appreciate knowing who is unable to accurately
describe their offerings. YEP! I say send it back!
