To comment on Ronald Beck's remark in Digest 2710,

>I don't know how much the boys (ages 4.5 and 1.5) really see in 3D yett
however, they do like looking at the slides and they sure were better than the
TV shows that were on last night <

About 10 years ago I took some European format 3-D slides of my wife and newborn
baby in the hospital. They had to stay in hospital for another 3 weeks. I showed
the mounted slides to my in-laws and our 3 year old daughter who was staying
there. when she viewed the slide of her mother in bed, she stried to stretch her
arms out to her and her voice sounded like if she would have when she called her
at 6 feet away. The image was so life like to her, it proved to me she could see
depth!

I believe there are several methods, including the "Fly"Vecotograph which is
still being used by Dutch eye doctors. to find out if a child can view in depth.
