Actually, I consider both reactions very healthy.  They show a person
who is impressed enough with the stereo image to compare it with
reality.  My first stereo picture that came from my Realist gave
me the cardboard cut-out impression too when I viewed it with my
Radex $3.25 viewer.  And look at me now... :-)
