I will have to do this in the near future, but because I am still not to
the physical CD burning stage, I can't do this yet. Suffice it to say
that the day will come in the near future when I will not be able to
take any more orders. as I said before, once I am done making this
thing, I am done...

This assumtion is false. There are many items on the 3D-CD which are not
available on the web:

First, there are stereographs from Bill Walton to "preview" my next
_POTENTIAL_ (If there is enough interest!) 3D-CD project which would be
a collection of his works. These are presented as cards, front and back,
anaglyphs and JPS images.

Also, there are a few IntrAnet (not available to the outside world)
sites included that people physically mailed to me. There are images
people sent to augment, or replace so-so ones from their web sites
because of the ability to include larger/more images on the CD. There
are pages and sites created only for the CD. There are pages that have
already changed, and content that is no longer available on the
Internet. Etc...
And last, but not least, there are anaglyph glasses from David Burder
and Chromadepth glasses from Chromatek. There is a special version of 3D
Photo Factory with a discounted registration price included. There are
about 20 shareware and freeware programs included - some no longer
available on the Internet.

Anyway, you get the idea... =)

One of the original reasons for producing this CD was to provide a
snap-shot of the current 3D web. To "protect" against what I had already
observed happening here and there. MANY sites I used to have links to
have dissapeared. Maybe people lost interest or were no longer willing
to pay to keep their sites up. At least this way, the information and
images will still be available to the CD owners.

> "how much is it?" ... Needless
> to say, the internet is free.

First, the 3D-CD is only $30 plus shipping.

Second, The internet is not really free... You have to pay someone (or
someone has to pay) for access to it, and the time you spend waiting fo
things to download is worth something. There will be over 600 MB of 3D
stuff on the finished CD. At a generous estimate that you could pull
down and use/digest 5 MB of stuff per hour, that would still take 120
hours of your time. Let's assume that you time is worth a minimum of $15
per hour, then your time would cost $1,800. In reality, this is a LOW
estimate. Browsing from the CD only takes your time, and is MANY times
faster than the Internet. In that sense, it is VERY MUCH cheaper than
the Internet itself.

If your time is worth more to you than $15 per hour, then adjust the
math to see how much more this CD can save you! =)

Yes, but having roughly 100 MB of P3D (and related sub group) text to
search through allows you to get MANY responses from the past in
minutes. On P3D, you MIGHT get a reply sometime, but it may not be the
right answer as the person who really knew might not be a member of the
group any longer... Also, the question you may want to ask, and all the
related answers, and new questions based on the answers, etc are all at
your fingertips on the CD.

> Will the CD be sold at NSA?

Because of the wording I chose to use in my requests for permission to
include others content, I am not going to be able to sell it beyond this
particular offering. HOWEVER, people might decide to part with their
copies at some point, or who knows... Because there are a very finite
number of these things, maybe they will become collectible and show up
in future NSA type gatherings? My recommendation would be to get your
copy now if yo have any incling that you might want one - I don't think
that many people that start using their copies will ever want to part
with them... =)

Any more questions?
