So the text is inherently worthless, and it's only good for the
pictures? What magazine are we talking about here again, P******? :-)

P.S. - As was mentioned scanners (including mine) have a check-option to
automatically remove moire patterns caused by scanning halftone pictures,
and mine does an amazingly good job. I'm not sure how it'd affect text if they
were all done in the same scan however. I may try that if I remember to.
I certainly agree, however, that OCR'ing (or getting the text from John
in the original computer format) would be the best so long as that chore
isn't the cause of nothing whatsoever to be done.
P.P.S. - For someone who has very few or none of the issues, having a CDROM
copy that's less than magnificient is MUCH better than having nothing,
so I think "worthless" is quite overstated except for those who
already have a complete paper set.
