Tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting P3-D's Paul Talbot. He was was
passing through and was able to attend tonights meeting. Unfortunately,
he had to sit through a rather long discussion of "club matters"
(discussing dues, electing new officers, etc). Paul showed us his
archival stereo slide storage pages. To this point, I had not made a
decision about how to store my slides (still being new and all)-boxes or
notebooks? Well, his storage pages look really sharp, so I think I will
give it a try. And lest you think Mr. Talbot just came to town to show
off his archival pages, he also managed to grab two awards in our stereo
competition. First place went to Paul Talbot for Acadia Light House.
Second place went to Geoff Peters for Sunrise on the River. Third place
went to Paul Talbot for Foot Bridge in the Gardens. In another
competition, James Roy won first place for Crashing Surf Curcao. Bob
Leonard won second place for Inside the Church. Mr. Duggan showed
slides from Richmond (to get us pumped for NSA), Williamsburg, and
Jamestown. Tonight was Mr. Duggan's last night as President of PSSP.
In the time I have been a member, I think he has done an outstanding
job. There hasn't been a question yet that I have asked him that he
didn't know the answer to. He has been a tremendous asset to our club
and all of us sincerely hope he remains active in PSSP.
