P3D A kid's view?

Hi, gang! I got behind in things (again), but as I was skimming the
digest, the following statement caught my eye and I couldn't resist the
temptation to respond! I'm in the middle of this thread, so I hope what
I write makes sense!

The original point of the posting that started this (now absurd and
growing moreso) thread was I don't understand why some people (like,
presumably, us) got turned on to 3D and are active participants, while
most others to whom we show our presumably stunning 3D work, can't be
bothered. Although the more I think about it, the more I believe it is
simply "adult inertia". Kids are MUCH more likely to want to try it
themselves than your average adult.<<<

This may explain why I fell in love with 3-D so fast and hard. I'm never
growing up, plain and simple! (i.e., I will always remain a kid at heart
no matter how many years the body may accumulate.) Kids find anything
different interesting, which develops into hobbies, or possibly
professions later in life. Some of us retain that fascination. Some fall
in love with the TV remote or just settle for a comfortable existence.
That's life. I notice a difference, too, when I show my work to
different people. I usually find the people who really enjoy the images
are involved in the Arts (music, painting, etc.) in one way or another
themselves. The "kid mentality" seems to be comprised of interest,
intrigue, curiosity, determination, fascination, perseverance,
simplicity, enjoyment, openmindedness, and being carefree. Sometimes
some of those things seem to fade as we grow older, which may help to
determine the activities we choose later in life over those we did as
kids. Make sense?

Philosophically yours,
