P3D Target / lenses

I got my 1st slides back from Target last week as well: 3 weeks, $5.99.
Problems is, as least 4-6 of the slides will need remounting, as they're
 too unevenly mounted to my indiscriminate eye. Jeesh, you'd think
they'd at least place the film chips top edge all the way into the tab
of the heat-set mounts. I can imagine them done by a pimply teenager*
who comes in after school in the evenings to do this work at Kodak.
If I was him, I'd probably do a slapdash job, in order to not have to
do so much precision drugery for my low, hourly wage. :-)

Speaking of 50's vs. modern lens -  I remember one small reviewer
saying that certain old Konica 35 mm lens made better enlargements
thans his Schnieders!
