P3D Re: Anaglyphs

I am just not getting the depth I am looking for, and that I have seen
in some other pictures I have seen. Please check out my web site and
tell me what you think of my work so far. All input would be much
appreciated.<
In my opinion, most of the pictures don't really seem to be chosen to
emphasize depth. They are distant landscapes with only perhaps a token
foreground object that doesn't really work to play up the depth. I think
different subjects would possibly work better for you. I'm also not
terribly fond of color anaglyphs. I think the color in the subject usually
works against the color in the filters, to the loss of all. This is
particularly true in pictures heavy in reds or blues. Take your castle and
clouds image--the overall image is so heavily blue that there is not much
of a secondary red image to provide depth.
If you wouldn't mind one other critique, I think most of the pages on your
site are too busy, making it very slow to load. You're pushing graphics
(often very large ones) and animation and icons and music down the pipe all
at once and forcing your visitors to wait for a long LONG time to get the
effect. I gave up waiting for the main page to load, and when I went to the
photographs page and saw that huge pile of God knows how many pictures that
had to load, I beat a hasty retreat. You might consider breaking the whole
thing down into smaller units on more pages.
