I think the widest I have used is 6 ft and I usually have the lens'
axes parallel (no toe-in). If you shoot full frame 35 mm slides
then there is enough space to mount them in a 7p mount and keep
a good stereo window. Most people will converge the axes at
the point of interest (and I do that when I shoot hyperstereo
and follow my object with the camera on a moving platform).

had distinct trajectories, time should not be a factor but at long
exposures many of them will overlap so one could adjust exposure
(use an even smaller aperture) at very long exposure times.
