I just found a mint TDC Selectron changer I was able to buy for a more than
reasonable price.
It arrived yesterday and I could hardly wait to mount it on my TDC 116. No
problem but then *O Disapointment* : THE SHUTTERS DO NOT OPEN. I've been
fiddeling with it all evening to no avail. When I *slam* the slide in real
hard they open about half .....but don't close any more. When I gently push
the slide in they just don't move. The worst is that the whole thing is
rivetted shut so I can't even see what's going on whithout drilling out the
rivets and try to close it again in another way. Is this a common problem ?
What's the cause and how can I solve it ?
The manual also explained I should "de-activate" the TDC own internal
shutter whith a special wired hook. What did this thingie look like ? It
understand what is does but not how it did it.
Any advice would be more then welcome. Thanks.
Best Regards.
Patrick.
