I use a StaticMaster brush. This is the one with the radioisotope in a
cartridge near the bristles. The alpha particles emitted by
radioisotope ionize the adjacent air, creating a conductive path for
static to drain away. I know it's doing something, because the cover of
the box has turned brown directly over the active area. :-)
Seriously, it really does seem to work. Unlike with a conventional
brush, one can repeatedly brush a film chip with the StaticMaster
without imparting any noticeable static charge to it.
