P3D Re FED Exposure/Battery question

When David Burder first did a review of the FED he found that he had to set
the ASA to half that of the film to get a correct exposure. When I first
got mine I tried it first setting to the actual ASA and for the first role
of film that seemed to be OK , but the next was underexposed, especialy
when it came to projection so I have set at half the actual ASA ever since.
When I needed to change the battery Boots did not have any in stock but
located a small number intended for cameras at another shop or their
supplier . I was thinking of buying the lot when another assistant said
that the battery was the same as the one used in the Braun Independant
portable hair curling tongs. So I had one of those and it worked since when
I have replaced with one more Braun battery which I was able to get at my
local Boots of the peg in a blister pack among the Braun accessories.
