I agree that that anaglyph may be the best way, the Stereo Image Factory is
an excellent piece of software, I used the trial version off the net and am
now waiting for Dan's CD which has got an extended trial version plus a
discount when you register, the cost of the CD is practically recouped on
just this one item!!!
As you are using a laptop I take it that you are only presenting ideas to a
small audience, this idea is rather off the wall and I haven't tried it but
I remember seeing in Birmingham (UK) Science museum anaglyph posters but
instead of using glasses there was a glass screen divided down the middle
into the two colours ... would it be possible ... (and I stress again this
is firmly in the land of the fairies).... to mount a glass frame a little
larger than the screen - free-standing in front of the laptop so that
several people could position themselves to see a 3D image without making
people put on glasses, it could also be useful for a free standing
exhibition where people are just walking past. Lighting gels are a
possibility.
