Gary, you are my man!
Here are a few DrT quotes from older photo-3d digests:
96/5/14
For me, mounting stereo slides in the standard Realist mounts is not a
problem. As matter of fact, it is fun! Yes, FUN, FUN, FUN! When I
get back a roll of film (delivered at work) I cannot wait to go home
and mount the slides...... It takes me about one hour to mount a 36 exp,
realist-format roll (30 pairs).

As I have said before, for me, mounting is fun... I dare say that I
enjoy mounting my pictures more than taking them in the first place!
Nothing beats the thrill of seeing a well-captured 3-d scene first
during mounting and putting some effort into making it look even
better...
96/5/23
There is nothing you can do while using the camera that will give you
misaligned slides! No matter how much you tilt the camera, the slides
will be perfectly aligned vertically. That's why mounting is SO DARN
SIMPLE!!! All the slides are automatically aligned. All you have to
do is put them properly in the mount.
Also: "The answer to better mounting is more practice, not better
instructions"
