P3D Technical vs. simple

Well said Dana!

I like to caution about extremes in both directions. Sometime back
we had a discussion with Tom Deering who said that he was using SLR(s),
2x2 slides in commercial mounting and twin projectors and wondered what
he was doing wrong because it all seemed too easy and uncomplicated.
It so happens that this is the worse system for errors to creep in.
Unmatched cameras, variability in commercial mounting, unmatched
projectors, etc. In this case I recommend "proceed with some caution",
especially when using slide film and projection.

But Dana is using a system that was designed for stereo: Matched
lenses, aligned pairs, stereo mounts, stereo projector. Things could
not be easier. Thousands of amateurs used the system in the 50s.
There is almost nothing to worry about. Use it, and, as Dana said,
don't be afraid to experiment.
