That's correct... I would like to add that the VM model D viewer is a pain
to clean, especially the fog between the elements (you need to remove
the reel-advance parts to reach the lenses plus is it almost certain
that you will chip the lenses trying to get them off the holder). If
you want to remove any electrical contacts then... good luck. For
these and other reasons you need DrT's book on the VM-model D which
shows you how to take the viewer apart, how to put it back properly,
and how to improve it. This is a good investment, especially if you
have found the elusive $1 viewer.
