Someone inquired about a b&w slide film. There is one by Agfa called
"Scala" which is carried by Samy's Camera and B&H. It produces
direct positive b&w slides, and although I haven't tried it, I have heard
that the results are excellent. It requires special lab processing -- and
that information would be available at the time you purchase the film.
Re: Ritz Camera. I wouldn't condemn all Ritz labs because of one bad
experience. We have one in Ventura, CA, with the best lab technician
in the area -- and the only one, it seems, that can understand the
expression "good color saturation." Other labs around here turn out
pale washed out color prints. They won't work with Realist size negatives,
however. Grand Photo is still my top choice for those.
