I have another idea:
Why don't we use PSA projection standards as set forth in PSA Uniform
Practice 2E.2, "Juding and Projecting Photographic Slides"? That's what it
was set up for--- to make sure that all exhibitions use the same
illumination when judging and showing an exhibition. All clubs and
exhibition sponsors should make use of these standards to insure uniformity
from one judging to the next. This would, of course, mean that makers of
slides would also have to consider that their slides would have to meet
certain exposure standards for best results. It seems to me that some
exhibitions these days (given the many formats submitted) adjust the
projector with relation to the screen to let the largest format fit the
screen and let illumination go where it may.
