Kodak's High Speed (b&w negative) infrared, used with a red filter,
can result in some spectacular effects if you process and print your
own negatives. Same with Konica IR or Ilford SFX (the latter being
more of a "near infrared" with less dramatic effects.) Slide people
will need Kodak's Ektachrome Infrared film. The effects depend on
your choice of filter -- green, orange, red, yellow, or none. This requires
a lot of experimentation -- using the data sheet as a guide and starting
point, and expensive lab processing! The only lab I know of which
specializes in processing this film is the Rocky Mountain Film Lab,
560 Geneva St., Aurora, CO 80010. They charge around $20 for
processing and mounting. (Could be less if you ask for no mounting.)
I would expect that this film might produce some very exceptional 3D effects.
