P3D 3D-CD
Hi all (and especially Dan),
So you think you can have Dan's 3D-CD in the post on
tuesday evening (special delivery !) and plan to only
have a glimpse at it to get the idea, starting at
8 pm. And then it's suddenly half past three and you're
sure you have only 'scratched the surface' (a bit). And,
just a detail, you have to wake up at 7 . . .
This phaenomenon is called 'Computer Time Warp'
Wow, this is is more and better than I could have imagined.
Sure, lots of it's contents can be found on internet or in
the archives or on FTP, but then again. Most of the pictures
even look better on my 17' screen at home (1024 x 768) than
on my business address (21', 800 x 600) or am I blinded by
my imagination and enthousiasm now ? I also like the additions
(red/blue, red/green and the Chromatek). Did everybody got the
same sheep/wolve lent ? My desk at home was covered last night
with all sorts of 'viewing devices' : red/blue, red/green,
Chromatek, several lorgnette viewers, an old Holmes and
even a VM model D (only for the ambiance). I did a lot of
parallel viewing and even tried some cross-views for the first
time in my life. What a 3D-CD can let you do ! Boy, that hurts !
I'm afraid this will be repeated a lot of times. Have to
convince the lady that I'm doing something very useful, only
seeing her in the morning 8-)).
I've said it already and I'll keep saying it: Dan, you've
done a teriffic job. (capitals on) THANKS ! (capitals off).
It's also amazingly functional and fast.
I'd like to thank each and every contributor (contibutress ?)
to this CD, with a HM to David Burder, Paula Steenblik (hey,
this sounds pretty well like a Dutch last name), Dave Harvey,
and of course Bob Wier. Special thanks to my 'countrymen' :
Hugo de Wijs, Harry zur Kleinsmiede, Wim van Egmond and Jan
Groeneveld and cheers to Patrick Boeckstijns, who is as a
countryman to me, being a Fleming 8-))
Hope nobody has my name in his or her filters, because if you
don't see this message and don't order the 3D-CD, you'll tear
your hairs off (if you still have any) in a couple of months.
[Standard disclaimer of course]
Cheers and thanks for your time,
Peter van Zuijlekom
