P3D Re Projection standards

I dont know how serious Dr T was about his "wild Idea" for fitting a
projector with a rheostat for varying the light output to reduce ghosting
and overexposure etc. Especialy as he had been making the very valid point
that slide should be right to start with. But a rheostat would also change
the colour balance of the slide ,a better way may be to have a second set
of polaroids which can be positioned before the normal ones in the light
path (so as not to twist the final polarisation) and rotated to produce the
required neutral density dimming.
