P3D Re: Realist Spotted in "Them"

|While watching the 1950s sci-fi movie "Them" with my kids this Saturday,
|I spotted a scene where the heroine was taking pictures of the giant
|ants from a helicopter using a stereo Realist.
|
|I can only imagine what the final slides looked like.

Probably somewhat hyper :-)
A couple of years ago I got a movie "Lobby Card" for THEM showing the lady in
the helicopter holding the Realist. Unfortunately, it's a painted scene rather than an outtake
from the movie, but I have it framed on the wall in my office :-)
Special effects in movies have changed a bit in 40 years, eh? I seem to recall a thread at
one point on the list as to whether a Realist or other stereo camea had ever shown up as
a prop in another movie, but I can't recall that anyone mentioned any titles. (I do believe
I've seen some 100+ year old cameras in a few documentaries on TV in the past few
years, usually as part of an introduction to some views of that particular subject).
THANKS
