Intersting system. I have some parts for the Leep viewer including a couple
sets of the viewer lenses, lens mounting frames, Plastic case, and some
original Leep slides. These were given to me by Eric because I showed an
interest in the technology. He told me that the lenses were his rejects but
I couldn't see any flaws.I tried to reconstruct the viewer from photographs
of the viewer. To be really honest I didn't like the distortion at all--to
wierd for me. Nothing is really pin sharp and the edges were worse yet. One
thing Ill have to admit is that it is really really WIDE but only if you
don't wear eyeglasses. The lenses in the viewer according to Eric were
exactly the same lenses that are in the camera. They are single element
molded plastic..possibly polycarbonate.All in all I can't even recomend
this system as it stands because of the distortions but I can see a real
potential in this technology if high quality custom engineered lenses were
designed. In my estimation it would make Imax 3D look like a viewmaster. If
any one is interested in putting photgraphs of these parts and the slides
on a website I would lend these parts to you for this purpose.
