They're playing 'Them!', the 1954 giant-ant movie cited here earlier, on
the AMC channel right now (see: 3D cameras in movies) and, according to the
pre-film commentary, the movie was slated to be shot in 3D and color, but
budget slashing had it end up flat and B&W.  Pity; lots of great desert
locations, good full-scale giant ant effects, and lots of pyrotechnics.
Great film as is, but I can just see it in the all-out treatment.
