Phil asks if anyone else has ever waited that long? Well I have, and we owned the machine!

However, the new machine is now being installed (I was there yesterday and saw that the windows had been taken out to allow access for the crain....quite a large parcel is a Lenticular processing machine). So it should be up and running during the next 14 days - after all the tests have been carried out.

As we all know. Processing delays have been the bugbear of lenticular stereo printing ever since the original Nimslo was introduced. However, few 3-D enthusiasts would relish investing over $75,000 of their own money to speed it up! So commercial firms have to take the chance....and you run into the 'chicken and egg' situation i.e. is there enough processing out there to make the investment worthwhile? Is there more than enough? In which case the machines become overloaded with work! We're trying to avoid this this time.

In fact we aim to offer a three tier service.

A. Standard Service.
B. Fast Track.........10 working days.
C. Fast Track 'Premium'...4 working days.

The machine is designed to process the three lens lenticular 3-D. As from September all European Image Tech processing will be processed by Nottingham.

We are looking at the processing of 4-lens cameras. If Phil keeps in touch with oiur Notingham Branch they will let him know.

At this stage I cannot tell you more. Well, just a little more. I have personally just tried out the new TRIO 3D camera and got some magnificent strereo shots in Sicily. The camera's DX coding and autoexposure system makes this one of the easiest and simplest of camera to use since the Nimslo (in fact, having used both, I personally reckon it's an imporovement on the latter since it also has automatic loading and rewind and auto-flash).

Any questions?
