P3D Grace Kelly in 3D in Rochester

I went to the Friday, 7/10 showing of Dial M for murder.
The 8pm showing was SOLD OUT- the theatre holds
450 people. When we got in the door, I looked back, and the line
was very, very long. So long, in fact, that they decided to have
another showing at 10 that night. They cut entry off at 430,
and my daugther & I were one of the last let in.
Unfortunately, the distracted door keeper had miscounted,
and THE only two seats left were separated. I didn't want us to
split up, so we ended up sitting on the wide balcony stairs
(which wasn't as bad as it sounds- you could really stretch out).

The movie was very nice, but from where we were (the balcony),
the sound lacked fidelity, making some of the dialog hard
to hear. Whether it was the theatre's
system that needed tone adjustment, or the film needing
restoration I don't know.

There were some parts of the movie when the audience
burst out in laughter at parts of the action- society is
a lot different now than it was back then.
