P3D Slave Flashes

>From time to time the subject of slave flash units surfaces here. They
are very useful and nearly de rigueur for the Argus/Loreo units.

Years ago I did a lot of Polaroid photography and I used slave flashes as
a simple way to augment the weak units available for the instant cameras.
I had a exquisitely simple, dirt cheap circuit to make slave triggers.
I lost it, but now I've found it again. The problem is Radio Shack
doesn't seem to have (or even be aware of) the main part.

Can anybody help he find a 200 volt light activated silicon controlled
rectifier?
The only other part needed is a 47,000 ohm 1/2 watt resistor.

The anode of the LASCR attaches to the positive line of the flash unit,
the resistor goes between the gate and the cathode of the LASCR, then the
cathode attaches to the negative line of the flash. A little epoxy and
ingenuity and voila!

You can use discarded flash units from throwaway cameras (which a lot of
one-hour o\places will give you) and make as many as you like...if you
can find the LASCR.
