Bruce Springsteen asked about duplicating slides so he can make prints
from them.  I think the cheapest way, over the long haul is a slide
duplicator, as has already been mentioned.  They come in various forms
from a basic tube to a more sophisticated model, with zoom capability,
which allows cropping. And of course you have complete control of the
exposure so over/underexposed slides can be corrected, to a degree

His idea of projecting on a screen and re photographing the image will
work, of course, but he will not be very happy with the results.  There
are keystone and reflection problems not to mention the degrading of the
copied image.  I made my first Black & White slides by this method, in
the late 1950s.  The images that resulted were better than nothing, and I
was able to prove a point to a camera store owner in Hanau, Germany, but 
I would not want to send them to anyone.
