P3D Slide Duplicating for Prints

On going from slides to prints:

The professional internegative, with whatever low-cost reprinter you
trust, is sounding like the best one-shot short-term option. But the
slide duplicating tube sounds like the better long-term answer. Some
questions to add about that option:

What kind of film and light source combination is good for prints from
the average slide? Mike K. used the word "internegative", but I
wasn't clear from context if that is a particular type of film. Is
there a brand or two you could name?

Do the holders for these dupe tubes also accomodate Realist-sized
mounts?

By the way, do the folks who offer 3-D slide duping also offer duping
to negative film? Seems like it wouldn't be a difficult service to
add - same rig, different film/filter.

With about a dozen participants so far, the ISU card circuit will be a
quick one - so I gotta get crackin'!
