Making a print from a slide using any standard print film will result
in prints with WHOPPING contrast. To get acceptable results you'll want
to use a low contrast print film: I've had good luck with Kodak
Vericolor VPS. I've heard Fujicolor NPH also works well.

To figure out exposures with your particular setup, you'll have to
shoot a test roll. My setup works reliably when I use the camera's
TTL/OTF exposure meter and _overexpose_ by 1.66 to 2 stops. I aim the
dupe-tube at a sunlight on white paper, or through an 80A (?I think)
filter at 3,400 K (?I think) light shining on a 15% (I'm sure) grey card.
Both techniques require exposures of many seconds, and might not work
with some SLRs.

PS. When using an SLR-dupe tube setup, don't forget to turn off the
#%&*% date stamp on your SLR.
