P3D Scala B&W Slide Film

After posting a short note warning of the instability of Agfa Scala film
under projection, I received two e-mails regarding this comment. One was
to inform me of the physical properties of Scala and how it is a
silver-based film and no different than other silver-based films. This
person has reportedly never had any problems with the film deteriorating
in any way after numerous projections. The second e-mail confirmed my
comment that one of our club members had a Scala slide destroyed due to
heat intolerance when projected.

I am interested to hear from other Agfa Scala B&W slide film users and
their experience with this film. I always have my film duped prior to
putting in competition or making into programs, so this does not concern
me as much as that the "casual" projection just to look at it might even
harm the image. Please post responses to the list so others may comment,
too.

Thanks.
