P3D Floating Colors

The following was in my local paper (the Idaho Statesman) but was 
bylined by Dawn C. Chmielewski of the Orange County Register. The 
title was "Clever new toys accent the fun of summer".

How about sidewalk chalk? That's been done. OK, how about 3D chalk?

Here's the scene. Your budding Picasco etches his or her creation on 
the driveway, puts on a pair of movie-style paper glasses with 
polarized lenses, and the image magically drifts off the pavement.
