P3D Sharing Stereo

I have friends visiting us at the moment and shared a few stereo images
one evening in a lighted hand viewer. The husband and son could see all
of the images quite well, but the wife could only see maybe 5 percent of
them in stereo. Mostly she saw two images. Funny enough, the ones she
saw well were some poorer quality images where the separation was too
great. She also said she had trouble seeing ViewMaster images, too. I
occassionally meet someone who can't see stereo, but they seem to enjoy
the images nonetheless.

On another note, I also have to mount my husband's stereo slides. His
eyes seem to compensate for most misalignments, thus he cannot mount by
viewing alone and moving the chips. Even with a gauge, he doesn't always
get them properly aligned. He can also see images with too much
separation without any problems.

Go figure.
