P3D VM & kids

>>>Personally, I never knew ViewMaster was 3D until I got into stereo
photography as an adult. We did have VM as kids, but I never had
any idea that I was seeing anything fundamentally different than my
dad's flattie slides. I'm constantly amazed when, in trying to
explain stereo slides to folks, they immediately jump in with "oh,
you mean like those ViewMasters we had when we were kids!" Really,
I had absolutely no idea.

Hmmm... OK, but I maintain that most kids DO see something different than
their dad's flattie slides... I did, my wife did (she remembers very fondly
being whisked away into the world of Alice in Wonderland)...
Any other thoughts?
(BTW, I also maintain that kids are more receptive to stereopsis and that
adults, being immersed in a 2D media world, tend to lose this ability to
varying degrees. I've done enough projection shows for various audiences
including many grade schools.)
