hi all. i have 2 sputniks. unfortunately one fell down and is broken. but one can shoot with it. both had to be adjusted for proper focusing. the shutter of one of them did not work. i opened the-simple shutter-and tried to "repair" it(i am no specialist). it worked. when i have found one to buy this camera, we tried out the shutter. it did not work anymore. i will give it into the hands of a professional repairman. special lackier must be used to make the shutter run all the time. no oil....! i have made one testfilm of the unrepaired "broken" camera. if the lens is in the shadow the results are good. the only serious seem to be the fact that it is a midrange-camera with long normal lens. this means limited depth of field. i had also a fed stereo(old type) but did not shoot with it. the buyer told he had troubles with the lightmeter.i did not wonder after reading all the stories in p3d. i will offer him the newer version. i hope they are better. why do the russians not make a manual 3d-camera. the make such cameras but only for the lowest-price-segment. regards michael przewrocki

NB: still searching for don chaps( i have found him in an early digest of 1995 interesting in the pan-pet-panorama-viewer from gakken). does anyone know him/his adress/e-mail?
