Well, that's it. NSA Richmond is over.

It was my first visit to one of these, although I was at the ISU/Stereoscopic
Society one in Eastbourne in 1993, and I go to all of the Stereoscopic Society
Conventions in the UK.

I came with the intention of meeting as many of the "names" that I see on
)Photo-3D, and achieved my goal.

I was also interested in seeing how the meeting was organised with such a
large attendance, and this was handled pretty efficiently. I was a little
dissapointed by the gaps between shows in the projection theatre, and I have
discussed this privately with Bill Duggan.

It was great to have another chance to see "Dial M for Murder" and the cinema
was outstanding. Most of the cinemas in the UK of this period have been
demolished or drastically remodelled. This was in its original condition, and
lovingly cared forf.

The Trade Fair was interesting, though not as extensive or busy as I had
expected, though I got the impression from the various dealers that I talked
with that they were satisfied.

I was pleased to get a chance to chat with Bob Bracket, John Dukes, Dr T, Ron
Labbe etc, and the journey from Boston to Richmond was shortened considerably
by the company of Ed Shaw and Paul Wing.

All in all, a very successful event. Would I come again? Certainly, but I have
to play iit by ear rather to see if it will fit into my schedule - after all,
we have the Stereoscopic Society Convention in Bournemouth taking place on the
weekend of 7th to 9th May, and then there's the ISU Congress in Lindau in
September...

My congratulations to Bob Bloomburg for his wonderful Tuscany show which
deservedly won the Paul Wing award for the best show in the program and to
Dwight Cummings for his witty "Kitchen Sink" drama which won the award for
best show by a first time presenter.

I'd better sign off before my battery dies, then I can send this to the list
as soon as I reach Boston. Please excuse the typos - I'm literally "on the
road"

Bob Aldridge
