Tom,

I've got 2 anaglyph videos that I purchased at a Borders.
One is "The Mask" - a meant-to-be-scary, trippy film from the 60's.
The 3-D effects are decent (though corny) - it only has 3-D
segments - it's not 3-D all the way though. You're supposed to
don your 3-D glasses when a voice says, "Put the mask on NOW!"
Pretty hilarious to watch with friends. I believe Ralph Johnston
  purchased a copy through amazon.com. I think it's worth the 10
  bucks I paid for it.

Another is Robot Monster - on my TV, although segments of the
film *looked* like they were filmed/converted to anaglyphs, I
didn't notice any 3-D effect at all. I don't mind owning it,
even if it lacks, erm, depth, because it's a hilariously
horrible film. Think Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

As for polarized films converted to video/shutter glass format,
I'd be interested to hear what's available from others.

For reading, there's a $50 hardcover book on the history of 3-D
movies available from Reel 3D. Don't recall the exact title or
author (R.M. something or other I believe), but it's a decent
history. I got it via interlibrary loan, gratis.

  - Dana
