Help me here Bill.... Do you also sell the items that you contribute
for the auctions for fixed prices?  Then why do people pay more, instead
of just buying them at the fixed prices?

Can you elaborate on this a bit?  Why is it fun?  I have sat though
judging sessions where other people evaluate my work in terms of 
technical and aesthetic merits.  This can be nervebreaking and 
frustrating and it can also be satisfying or learning experience.  
Now I am told that having my work appraised to cash value by some 
collectors, or I don't know what, is fun too.  I don't see why.
