It is not posibble to get a true color image with the technology of
today - what you get is an image resembling reality to some degree.
The 3 filter technique is more accurate than the 2 filter technique.
2 filter coloranaglyphs can get rather close to colorstereograms if
one avoids saturated red and blue colors. Halftoneanaglyphs are less
demanding, but should not contain pure white and/or black, as there
is no depth-information in white and black.

This is almost correct, but should have read:
"....one filter subtracts a portion of the spectrum, and the
other filter subtracts - A PORTION - of the rest....."
As both filters have flaws and passbands with varying transmission
it is not possible to make a perfect colorphoto with red and cyan
filters. You can (with good filters) get quite close to the quality
of 3 filter colorphotos. An example can be seen at:
