I am sorry, I am not criticizing anyone and would not like to be
criticized either for not entering slides in the NSA auction.
The issue discussed here is if overloading the auction with
people's personal work is a good idea or not. One alternative
proposed (and worth considering by NSA, IMO) is to donate items
to be sold (at fixed prices) at the trade show or donate part
of the sales of specific items by certain dealers to NSA.
(Perhaps these items could be makred with a special sticker or
something saying 10% goes to NSA - just an idea). I personally
missed the auction (I had a good time with Boris et al. on Friday
night) but it would be difficult to miss the trade show which is
going one for two straight days.
Just a few ideas.... Also, I liked Bill Duggan's idea to have the
tour on Thursday instead of Monday. This will give people the chance
to see interesting sites that they can revisit later during their
stay. Perhaps Bill's letter (which was sent to a small list of
friends?) can be posted here in P3d for discussion?
